Gender, Diversity and Inclusion

The Researcher Development Partnership is passionate about equality and inclusion. We work with you to develop gender, equality, diversity and inclusion strategies, interventions and solutions - in areas including: subject underrepresentation (e.g. STEM), leadership, career progression and retention, safe spaces and inclusive environments etc.

You may need support and guidance to achieve your targets for the Athena Swan Charter; to fulfil your duties under the RDF; or for funding opportunities or partnerships which require you to assess your current gender equality position.

You may have carried out a gender analysis and need support to address the gaps or you are simply aware that creativity and innovation in research is enriched through diversity and inclusion and that everyone deserves equal treatment and equal opportunities.

We provide guidance and ideas to implement institutional and structural change alongside support and tools to manage personal and professional day-to-day lived experiences.

Making a difference

  • "Sharon, you must be some kind of genius! How you have cut through the complexity of these programmes to provide a unified solution, is nothing short of a miracle".

    Ana, Gender Adviser, British Council

  • "Sharon is an incredible woman. It has been a pleasure to work with her. She is well prepared and dares to challenge the status quo. She is good at framing and articulating difficult and complicated matters".

Anna, PhD, Postdoc (programme commissioner), Aarhus University

  • "To me both the workshop and coaching for ‘women in science’ have been an eye-opener for personal and professional growth. I gained beyond my expectations. If you have an opportunity, I encourage you to participate. I feel Sharon has enabled me with sustainable solutions that I keep applying to be a better me".

Shivani Joshi, PhD, sMBA (course participant)
